Achieved 2000 cases of cerebral angiography / procedure

Catholic Kwandong University International St. Mary’s Hospital has achieved 2000 cases of 'cerebral angiography and procedures'. The Hospital has begun its first medical treatment in February 2014 and by July of this year, 2118 cerebral angiography and procedures were performed.

Professor Cho Jin-mo (neurosurgery) said, "This achievement is a result of our collaboration with relevant medical staff and departments. We will continue to provide quality medical services to local residents through systematic medical systems.”

Cerebral angiography is a procedure in order to diagnose cerebrovascular conditions and cerebrovascular diseases (stroke, cerebral aneurysm, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.). It is performed by placing the soft, thin special wire into the femoral artery of the groin area and injects the contrast agent.
